As you know, this year our theme is We Tell Our Stories. With 150+ films and 100 hours of virtual programming, it can be tempting to not connect - let's change that. Whether you are seasoned in the industry or fresh to the games, we call can benefit from expanding our networks.
DBFF has been working to create spaces for you to build lasting connections from the comfort of your homes. Here is how:
- Join workshops & panels
- Connect "face to face" at our Virtual Happy Hours in the Creative Lounge
- Subscribe to our newsletter to stay in the know of opportunities and challenges
- Communicate RIGHT HERE!
Share your social information, trailers, photos and speak with the other filmmakers here! Every week leading up to the festival we will be highlighting someone who is active in this community on our social media for Filmmaker Fridays.
This discussion was created for #DBFF21 but, feel free to contribute to other discussions and build your own. At the Denton Black Film Festival we value the openness of festival goers and ease of meeting new faces. Extend a virtual hand 'DBFF style'!
My goodness, I apologize for being away for so long, but I've had some time to decompress from the festival and take some needed R&R. I wanted to say congratulations again to all who had a film a part of the festival, and thanks to everyone who participated! The DBFF Institute team is trying each and every year to improve upon our programming, so if you have a couple of minutes, please fill out this survey: https://forms.gle/VX3XxMd6qjQBrjop7 and provide us some feedback.
We are gearing up for the off-season, so stay tuned! We will be more active on this site, so please engage with us. And feel free to reach out to us if you have any questions or suggestions.
I hope you all are well in this winter weather 😊
Peace & Blessings
Eboni
It's great to see everyones amazing work, I'm looking forward to all of your creations! My film is a comedy "Happily Married After" which will be my 3rd film showing at DBFF. I was there the first year, and I would say it was by far my favorite film festival to attend, especially as a new filmmaker. Though we can't be there in person, I appreciate everything Linda and the whole DBFF team are doing to make it feel like we are there in person.
